Oh what a day, took one of the cats to the ER this morning, fun times.
The good news so far, is that he didn't eat a Q-tip, which is partially what I expected to see on the X-Ray. The bad news is that means they had to run more tests (read, charge me more money). I'd ask how they can sleep at night with the prices they charge, but I know the answer to that: Very comfortably, on satin sheets.
Oh, which kitty had to go to the ER?
ReplyDeleteI hate the vet ER... usually like, $50-$100 just for them to let you in the door, plus all the tests etc.
Newman. Yeah, it was $99 just for showing up (plus taking his temp and other vital signs and such), plus $175 for an X-Ray, which all turned up nothing. That's where things spiral out of control. My visit jumped from almost $300 to $1200 within a matter of a few seconds. Although I called them this morning and they said he seems to be doing much better but he doesn't want to eat (he's a picky cat, so that doesn't really surprise me much). I should be able to pick him up today as long as he doesn't regress back to the vomiting, etc.
