day[35]

I should preface this with the fact that I love my job, but every now and again I'm utterly floored:

Hi, what's the information to login to my account?

Well that depends, what did you set it to be? What's that? Oh, that's right, I can't tell you what you set your password to because I have no idea what you set it to, sorry!

Naturally this is not how I professionally responded to the query, but every time someone asks me for their password I think almost the same thing and wonder if the asker has actually considered their question.

  1. I am totally there with you on that one....today I had to field an e-mail from a Canadian guy asking me why his $25 purchase cost him $31. I had to explain currency conversion. Oy.

  2. I felt bad, not too long after I wrote the post my mom asked me if I knew her password. I had to stress to her that my post "today" wasn't written about her, it was in fact written well before she asked. D'oh.
